Every Learner Matters: Designing for Inclusion

Accessible Learning Media Project

This project showcases my ability to design accessible and inclusive learning media. I created a short eLearning experience that demonstrates how Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and accessibility principles can support equitable learning environments. This artifact highlights clarity, empathy, and thoughtful design decisions.

Overview

This short eLearning course explores how to design learning experiences that are inclusive and accessible for all learners. It covers the Universal Design for Learning principles and accessibility standards to support equitable and meaningful learning environments.

Purpose/ Intended Audience

This project was designed for instructional designers, educators, and learning developers who want to improve the accessibility and inclusiveness of their learning materials. It provides guidance on how to support a wide range of learners, including those with disabilities, language differences, and diverse needs.

Process

PLAN — Identified the key accessibility concepts and learning goals, ensuring the content aligned with UDL principles and best practices.

DESIGN — Created a clean visual layout with clear hierarchy, readable typography, and supportive visuals. Incorporated alt text, captions, and simplified navigation to model accessibility in action.

BUILD — Developed the module in Rise 360, integrating interactive elements and consistent formatting to create a smooth, inclusive learning experience that supports diverse learners.
